Search people by first name and last name, or open the profile of anyone whose review you liked in the feed. Following takes one tap: it is one-directional, it takes effect immediately, and it needs nobody’s permission — not the other person’s and not ours.

The feed has two tabs. Recommended shows everything published in the app; Following shows only the people you chose.

Your first and last name, your photo, your region, your bio, the reviews you published, your follower and following counts, and your shelf — which cigars you keep and how long they have been resting. Anyone with an account can open it; there are no private accounts.

What is not there: any tasting you did not publish, and your precise location — the app never reads your GPS, and the region is the country and the city you typed in yourself. What anything cost you is not there either, for the plain reason that the app does not keep it at all.

Yes, and it is a completely normal way to use the app. Nothing is published until you tap publish on that particular entry. You can hold an account for years, follow people, read everything and post nothing, and nobody is told that you are quiet.

Your profile still exists while you have an account, and your shelf is part of it — that is the one thing to keep in mind before you fill the humidor in.

They are gone. As of version 1.2 there are no clubs, no invitation codes, no applications and no club catalog: there is one feed, and you follow people instead of joining circles. Nothing was lost — the reviews you had published into a club are now on your public profile like any other, which also means they are readable by anyone with an account.

If that is not what you want for a particular review, delete it in the app; if it is not what you want at all, deleting your account erases everything you published, from the database and from disk.

Yes, and there is no way past it: the app asks for Sign in with Apple before anything else and there is no skip button. That is deliberate — the feed is not a separate app bolted on the side, and a journal that follows you to a second phone has to know whose journal it is.

After that first sign-in the journal works with no connection at all: entries, humidor and resting times open on a plane, in the metro, and on a day when our server is down.

The cigar, a score out of ten, a couple of sentences of tasting notes, and the band. That is the whole entry and it fits on one screen.

What is not there: a configurable rubric, thirds, a flavour wheel, and a choice between five stars and a hundred points. Earlier versions had all of it; it was taken out because people wrote two sentences and closed the form.

Two ways: photograph the band, or pick a cigar from your humidor. Typing a name by hand is not one of them any more.

Which means the sommelier is not optional: reading a band is one of the five free requests a week. Run out and you can still write about anything that is already in your humidor.

Yes — the humidor log is the point of it. Cigars go on the shelf as lots, with the date they arrived, so the app knows how long each one has been resting and shows it next to the cigar: just arrived, resting, ready at sixty days, and flagged once it has been sitting for two years.

Yes. Sign in on a second iPhone and your entries, lots and humidors are there. The device is the source: the app reads and writes its own file first, and the server holds a private copy so the two phones agree. Nothing about it is public and no request in the app returns another person’s journal.

No. Signing in publishes nothing, ever. What it does start is syncing: your entries, lots and humidors are kept as a private copy on the server so a second phone shows the same journal. Nobody else can read that copy — there is no request in the app that returns somebody else’s journal, and no screen that shows one.

A tasting becomes public only when you open that entry, tap publish and confirm — one entry at a time, never in bulk and never automatically.

Anyone with an account. Your shelf — the cigars and their resting times — is part of your public profile, and that is the deliberate trade: you can see what other people actually keep because they can see what you keep. What nobody sees is what any of it cost — that field does not exist in the app.

Nobody, including us — the app has no price field at all. Keeping what you paid was taken out of the app, and the server has no column for it, so there is nothing to show, leak or subpoena.

Three things, all of them somebody reacting to you: a comment on your review, a like on it, and a new follower. The app asks for permission on the feed rather than at launch, and answering “no” costs you nothing else.

There is no switch inside the app yet — until there is, iOS Settings → Notifications → Ligero turns them off completely.

Open their profile and choose Block. It works both ways and covers everything: you vanish from each other’s feeds, profiles, cigar pages and search results, including anything either of you publishes afterwards. No reason required, and they are not told.

The journal, the feed, following, publishing and comments are free. Two things have a ceiling on the free plan: the humidor holds up to 15 cigars, and the sommelier answers five times a week — band scans come out of the same five.

Reserve removes both ceilings: $12.99 a week or $29.99 a month, and the App Store shows the exact price in your currency before you confirm anything. If a subscription lapses, nothing you have written is taken away — you are simply back to the free ceilings.

In the app, under account settings. Deletion is immediate and physical: your profile, photos, published tastings and comments, your follows in both directions and your shelf entries are erased from the database and from disk. Nothing of yours is left in the feed.

The copy of the journal on your own phone is not touched: what is deleted is the copy on our server. Delete the app to remove the phone’s one as well. If you cannot reach the app, email efsh49@gmail.com from the address linked to your account.

Not at all. A private relay address works exactly like any other for us — we only ever use it to reach you about your account. Just keep in mind that if you write to support from a different address we may not be able to match it to your account.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your device open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or follow Apple’s instructions.

Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
